Sites which are no longer active
This page also includes sites where the client has taken over maintenance of the web site, and has made changes since these screenshots were taken. |

Dubarry Business Finance
This Lewes firm of corporate finance brokers needed a web site which was friendly and welcoming while still being professional and serious. We not only produced their web site but sourced all the images used on it for them. |
Huggetts Furnace Farm
This farm offered both self-catering and bed and breakfast holiday accommodation in the peace of the Sussex countryside. The design of the site echoed the ancient beams of some of the buildings. The owners are now retiring, so the web site has closed down. |
Stafford House
A centre for residential and day courses in Hassocks, Stafford House needed only a small site to present its facilities on the Web, but there is no reason why small should not be beautiful! However, Stafford House is now no longer used for training courses, and the web site has been removed. |
Hove Books Ltd.
This specialist publisher of photographic books was world-renowned. We re-wrote their existing web site from scratch, showcasing all their publications, with full provision for on-line purchasing, using WorldPay for credit card processing. The site lent itself to easy refreshing by a simple change of colour scheme. In 2007, the firm was taken over by Steyning Photo Books. |
Homecall Matchmaker Database
Homecall is a charity which matches people with visual handicaps to volunteer readers in the Sussex area. They didn't need a web site; they asked us to write them a database to record data and produce management information. A pleasant change! |
Court Multiple Services
This Lewes business covered a wide range of services, from lawnmowers, engraving and key-cutting to wedding car hire, as well as vehicle recovery and car disposal - and needed a single-page web site to showcase it all. |
Roundel Studios
These unique recording studios in Kent specialise in blues, but gladly produce recordings of any type of music. The site consisted of a single page, so to showcase the studio facilities without making the page unwieldy we decided to display full-size images only when the mouse is moved over the thumbnails. |

Northease
Manor School
Initially, Northease Manor required a professional
re-write
of a site which they had designed themselves. Later,
we produced a new site, written from scratch; subsequently, they took over responsibility for the site themselves. |
Costa Holidays
We designed this site for two Spanish rental villas to give the impression of sun, sea and relaxation. The client has now taken over maintenance of the web site and made some changes since this screenshot was taken. |
K. Chapple, Optometrist
A firm of Lewes optometrists which also offers contact lenses for sale on-line. Examples of the extensive ranges of spectacle frames and lenses and of contact lenses available in their shop are shown. Although the firm has clients of all ages, the web site is particularly designed to appeal to younger people. The client has now taken over maintenance of the web site. |
Neptune Racing
This site was written for a professional tipster who offered his tips very cheaply via a mailing list. The web site provided a wealth of information on how the list operated as well as details of how to sign up. In addition, we set up and administered the mailing list itself, ensuring that it is was secure as possible. The client has now retired from tipping. |
Cliffe
Bookshop
In Lewes, we all suffered together
from the devastating floods of 12th October 2000. To
show solidarity for a fellow flood victim, we refurbished
the web site of Cliffe Bookshop, which re-opened
nearly a year after the floods, and updated it whenever required. The site was one the very first web sites of this type, first uploaded in 1996. Sadly, the bookshop closed in 2005. |

Josephine
Dove
A site which was necessarily full of
graphics, presenting us with the challenge of nevertheless
making it fast to load. Josephine, as a designer herself,
had strong ideas about how her site should look, and contributed
greatly to the Art Deco theme to the site. Unfortunately, she has now retired from business. |
